HISTORY
In the Prophecy of the Blackest Night, it is said seven corps will be born and shine their light across the universe. The Green Lantern Corps harnesses the green light of willpower and balance, the Sinestro Corps utilizes yellow and fear. The Zamarons experiment with the color of love, violet, in their Star Sapphires, and hatred rises with the Red Lantern Corps. While the compassion of indigo and the orange light of avarice, blue will represent hope. The seven Corps would battle in the war of light and the Blackest Night would come.
Expelled from the Guardians of the Universe for allowing themselves to feel emotion, Ganthet and Sayd left Oa for a new world. To prepare for the Blackest Night, they forged the first ring of their corps. Believed to be a smaller group than the Green Lantern Corps, it is said "the blue light will hold the line in spirit if not strength." - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #25
Ganthet and Sayd began their Corps on the planet Odym, sending the first ring to Saint Walker of Sector 1. - DC Universe #0
