HISTORY

Seldom seen, the Blue Lantern power battery is believed to perform the same primary function of a Green Lantern power battery; charging a power ring. Presumably the battery acts as a conduit from the larger Central Power Battery on Odym. The first and thus far only battery known was forged by Guardians Ganthet and Sayd prior to the induction of Saint Walker into the Blue Lantern Corps. It is not known how long the Blue Lantern power ring can carry a charge before it is depleted. - DC Universe #0

Though there have been reports of an organization somewhere in the multiverse similar to the Green Lantern Corps in form and function but wielding blue energy by means of a lantern shaped battery, there does not appear to be any substantial link other than conceptual comparisons between either the Blue or Green Lantern Corps and this yet unnamed organization. - Planetary #10
