HISTORY

Chogar and Davo Yull of Pharma were among the thirteen Green Lanterns killed by a group of cosmic criminals who had escaped captivity on the Guardians' Prison Planet. They had then launched an attempt to destroy the Corps. The criminals were stopped of course, but too late in Chogar's case.

Chogar is memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa.

BLACK LANTERN: CHOGAR

During the event known as the Blackest Night, black rings desecrated the Crypts. The ring placed itself upon his remains, downloaded his memories and created a duplicate of his body that rose from the grave as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. Blackest Night #1

As a Green Lantern, Chogar possessed a power ring and power battery.
