HISTORY

Once a cute and fuzzy Earth kitten, Dex-Starr is anything but.

His human master, a yet unidentified woman was murdered and Dexter was out in the street. Some malicious teenagers caught him and were tossing him off a bridge when the red power ring inducted him into the Red Lantern Corps as Dex-Starr. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #55

Dex-Starr was the first of the Red Lanterns to strike the Sinestro Corps as the yellow ring wielders attempted to free Sinestro from Green Lantern Corps’ custody. Dex-Starr killed the Sinestro Corps Soldier of Sector 3, before Sinestro could be given a ring. - Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns #1

Following the Blackest Night, Dex-Starr has accompanied Atrocitus to Earth, each on their own quest. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #55

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Dex-Starr wields a Red Lantern power ring giving him the capability of flight, survival in space and most dangerously, the ability to spew a napalm-like red plasma from his mouth, which incinerates all it touches.

GLCWP NOTE

Though not given a name in Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns #1 Dex-Starr was originally named in Wizard's "RED LANTERNS' Q&A WITH GEOFF JOHNS AND SHANE DAVIS". The name was changed from Dex-Star to Dex-Starr in the Red Lantern Corps profile in Blackest Night #0.
