HISTORY

Ekron of Vengar found his sector overwhelmed by the armies of Lady Styx. By circumstances not yet explained, he came into possession of the Emerald Eyes, prototype will-powered green plasma weaponry from the early days of Oan technology. Housed in a alien skull shaped starcraft, it appeared the Emerald Eyes were his only defense as it is presumed his power ring was otherwise inoperable.

At some point, the mercenary Lobo ripped out one of the Emerald Eyes on behalf of the so-called Triple-Fish God. This started Ekron's pursuit to regain the Eye.

When the Eye was used to defend a group of refugees on the planetary fragment known as the Broken Country, Ekron was able to track it once more. By this time, Lobo had fallen into the comapny of Starfire, Animal Man, and Adam Strange. Ultimately, they were able to trap Ekron, at which time they learned of his identity as a Green Lantern. 52 #20, 52 #28

Ekron is believed to have been killed during his battle with Lady Styx. At the battle's climax, Ekron, within his skull starship, plunged himself and Lady Styx into a Sun-Eater. - 52 #36
