HISTORY

Successful Hollywood actress Rita Farr was overcome by marsh gasses on a film shoot, waking up to find that she could now manipulate her limbs in order to stretch and grow to gargantuan sizes. Rejected by the Hollywood elite as a freak, she was recruited into the Doom Patrol where she saved the world, fell in love and married Steve Dayton and adopted Beast Boy (who became Changeling), before sacrificing her life to prevent the deaths of many others.

Several years later The Chief recovered a piece of Rita's skull and using his scientific skills he was able to regrow her entire body due to its mallable form. Rita is once again a member of the Doom Patrol.
