HISTORY
He was the last of the Green Lantern Corps, as there was no need for heroes in the distant future. The technological level on Earth had been so raised that disasters were instantly taken care of. The Green Lantern lived with retired super-heroes of other worlds in an old age home.
The Green Lantern and his fellow retirees met Superman, who had been transported one hundred thousand years into the future. Superman had been aged during the trip, and sent to the rest home for using his powers on Earth.
When the safety systems broke down and catastrophe was imminent, Superman, the Green Lantern, and others in the old age home came to the rescue. Proving their worth, the heroes were finally given the respect they deserved.
