HISTORY
Originating on the planet Maltus, the humanoids that would become known as the Guardians of the Universe have alternately been called the first sentient species, or at least the longest surviving species. Their history has yet to be conclusively documented; what is known might not be the complete truth, or may have been altered due to changes in the fabric of reality itself. This history will attempt to establish reported events chronologically, though some events may have preceded others or may not have happened at all.
At some point in their history, a group of Maltusians migrated to the planet Oa, in what would be known as Sector 0. It has been reported Oa was chosen as it was the supposed center of the universe and/or it was a nexus point of energies which the Maltusians, now known as Oans, would harness.
