OVERVIEW


Attempting to twist J'onn J'onzz' to her own desires, D'kay D'razz created an idyllic future in his mind, complete with his resurrected family, and a new role as a Green Lantern.

HISTORY


Twenty-five years after restoring his homeworld of Mars, J'onn J'onzz seemed to have it all, with friends and family at his side. A "new era of tranquility" had been brought to Earth and Mars by J'onn. He was now a Green Lantern of sector 2814, partnered with Hal Jordan. The whereabouts of Jordan's prior partner, John Stewart have not been disclosed.

J'onzz' friends from Earth had been on Mars to celebrate the anniversary but after the cermenony were brutally cut down by an unknown attacker. Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern each met gruesome fates, with Batman attempting to leave a message before his death. While J'onn's daughter pushed her father to cut his ties to Earth and embrace Mars, he pushed to find the killer and save Superman.

When J'onnz himself brutally and inexplicably killed Superman, he realized the message being sent: "wake up.". The scars on the bodies of his friends formed the Martian symbols for "love" and "hate." Speeding "home" he confronted his "wife" M'yri'ah, who was in reality D'kay D'razz and his "life" had been a twisted illusion. - Brightest Day #15
