HISTORY

In a bid to obtain alien technology known as a red scarab, the time travelling villain Black Beetle altered the timeline to engineer the death of the Teen Titans. The loss of the Teen Titans meant there was no force to continually withstand the power of Trigon and also weakened the Justice League.

In the year 2010, the heroes of Earth were crushed by the might of Trigon. The Justice League, including Superman, Hawkman, the Flash and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) were dead. Their weapons were taken by Trigon.

Ten years later, the human population of Earth was less than 38 thousand. Lex Luthor lived in subservience to Trigon while a small opposition, Trigon’s daughter Raven, Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), Zatanna Zatara and her husband Kyle Rayner tried to survive. - Booster Gold Vol. 2 #23
