HISTORY
One of a quintet of thieves, Larfleeze and his cohorts attempted a daring robbery on Maltus which brought them to the attention of the Guardians of the Universe and their android police force, the Manhunters.
Part of their ill-gotten gains was a map once held by Krona. It led them to the planet Okaara and ultimately to the orange light of avarice in the form of the Orange Lantern Central Power Battery. The greed thieves battled for possession of the one-of-a-kind object with the Guardians making a pact with Larfleeze; noninterference so long as the orange light remained within the Vega system. Larfleeze kept his end of the bargain for billions of years. Only recently has the pact been broken, precipitating the War of Light and the fall of the Blackest Night. -Green Lantern Vol. 4 #41
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Larfleeze wields the light of avarice, in the form of the orange power ring. As there is only one ring, he has exclusive control over the energies in the orange lantern power battery which he keeps in close proximity should others try to steal his prize.
