HISTORY
The Entity is described by the Guardian Ganthet as "the living light bestowed upon this universe that triggered existence itself." Upon entering the universe, the Entity created Earth around itself, and the life upon it.
Over time, the life developed will, at the first sentient creature to do so became Ion. The next emotion, fear, was felt by an insect and became Parallax.
The Guardians of the Universe tried to hide the existence of the Entity from Nekron but it was ultimately discovered and attacked. The Entity had bestowed a white power ring upon Sinestro. - Blackest Night #7
Currently, the Entity has given Boston Brand, formerly known as Deadman the mission to find someone new to wield the white light.
