HISTORY

Meadlux and Droxelle were two Green Lanterns who posed as Guardians of the Universe during a "psycho-drama" evaluation of Hal Jordan. The Guardians of the Universe were testing Jordan to see if he had been damaged after he was possessed by Myrwhydden.

In the psycho-drama, the two "Guardians" had been designers of a new power ring which did not have a yellow weakness. Eddore of Tront, Kaylark of D'xe, and Galius Zed had rebelled against the "Guardians" and stolen the power rings.

All though the rings were powerful, they had disasterous side effects. The rings projected a Green Lantern's deepest fears or concerns by tapping into the subconscious mind, and made the wearer hostile.

Hal Jordan's "mission" was to stop these Green Lanterns, and return the rings to the "Guardians". Although Jordan admired the increased strength of the new power rings, he complied with the "Guardians'" wishes. Hal Jordan had passed the real Guardians' test.

POWERS AND WEAPONS
