HISTORY


The Green Lanterns of Sector 1111, Nhoj Sappal and his wife Airam Sappal were attacked and killed by Kryb of the Sinestro Corps. Airam Sappal was discovered outside Sector House 1111 by a squad of Lanterns hunting the Sinestro Corps soldier. The Sappals’ one year old son, Samoht Sappal, was being abducted before Lantern Amnee Pree rescued the infant from Kryb.

Lanterns Matoo Pree, Kyle Rayner, Soranik Natu, and KT21 also battled the Sinestro Corps soldier. - Green Lantern Corps Vol. 2 #30

Nhoj Sappal and Airam Sappal were memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa.

BLACK LANTERN: NHOJ SAPPAL


During the event known as the Blackest Night, black rings desecrated the Crypts. The ring placed itself upon Nhoj Sappal's corpse, downloaded all of his memories and created a duplicate of his body that rose from the grave as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. - Blackest Night #1
