HISTORY

Following their expulsion from the Guardians of the Universe and the defeat of the Sinestro Corps on Earth, Guardians Ganthet and Sayd chose Odym as the homeworld of the Blue Lantern Corps. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #25

Odym is a lush, vibrant world in the Polaris star system approximately 420 light years from Earth. As Polaris is a triple star system, it is not known if Odym orbits the supergiant star Polaris Aa and/or its main sequence companion star Polaris Ab, or Polaris B.

Except for the massive Central Power Battery of the Blue Lantern Corps, Odym appears untouched by the rest of the universe. Aside from Ganthet, Sayd and members of the Blue Lantern Corps, there are no known sentients on Odym. As the Polaris star system is the center of the Rann / Thanagar War, it is possible Odym has somehow been overlooked or is otherwise inaccessible, or else the warring factions would surely have colonized the paradise world. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #36
