HISTORY

Located in Space Sector 3560, the planet Guush was home to a benevolent creature called Stanch, one of a yet to be documented species on the planet. As the people of Guush polluted their skies, Stanch’s species died off, until he was the last of his kind. Over a decade he became twisted as the poisons seeped into his body. Stanch developed photosynthetic wings to fly above the polluted clouds and into the sunlight. He would swoop down from the skies to kill the people of Guush. Stanch soon became legend. It was this ability to instill fear that made Stanch a candidate for the Sinestro Corps.

- Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1

Stanch was first seen serving the Sinestro Corps on Qward, specifically in their capture of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, then known as Ion. Details about Stanch’s actions in the Sinestro Corps War are not currently available. - Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special #1, Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1
