HISTORY


Following the actions of the Guardians of the Universe and their Green Lantern Corps, the Zamarons "borrowed a page from the Book of Oa'" and created the violet power rings with corresponding power batteries. The rings are charged at the batteries, which presumably draw power from the larger Central Power Battery on Zamaron.

The Star Sapphires speak an oath while recharging, though it is not believed to be required. The length of time a Star Sapphire ring has before needing a recharge is not yet known. Green Lantern Vol. 4 #20, 38
