HISTORY

Umitu was a prospect for the Green Lantern Corps who was tested by Hal Jordan. He impressed Jordan with his fighting ability, and was admitted into the Corps.

During a training session with Kilowog, Umitu tried to prevent Valor's sentient spaceship from crashing on Oa. Valor was bringing Alia to Oa for medical treatment. - Valor #11

There is little record as to Umitu's actions after the destruction of the Green Lantern Corps. Umitu was one of scores of Green Lanterns who were freed from a slave ring by ex-Green Lantern Guy Gardner. - Guy Gardner: Warrior #35
