HISTORY
A skyjacking gang, the Yellow Peril thought taking over Coast City Airport would be easy. Knowing Coast City's resident protector, Green Lantern Hal Jordan had no power over the color yellow, the armed thugs dressed themselves from head-to-toe in yellow costumes.
Unfortunately for the Yellow Peril they chose to stage the takeover the very same day Green Lantern's friends, Green Arrow, Black Canary and Air Wave III were at the airport to see the younger hero off on his flight to Dallas, Texas. The five terrorists were easily outclassed by the fighting abilities of the three heroes. Even though one of the Yellow Peril tried to hold off the late-arriving Green Lantern with a bomb set to destroy the airport, he too was defeated. Unable to attack the yellow costumed criminal directly, Green Lantern used another object, notably Air Wave, to knock down the terrorist.
The members of the Yellow Peril were handcuffed and taken away. They have not been seen since. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #107
