Comment(s):

The "JSA brats" flashback in this story is the post-Crisis version of the flashback in issue #27.
The flashbacks in this issue:
Al Rothstein is beat up at school, meets with his "uncle Al" and agrees to train with him over the summer. Al has just turned 11 the previous October, trains during summer vacation.
During the early part of that vacation, Al meets Lyta, Hec and Rick. They "borrow" Lyta's dad Lear Jet and land it on the front lawn of the White House. This flashback is covered in a Pre-Crisis version in Infinity, Inc. #27.
At the end of the summer, Al has grown eight inches. He is examined by Doctor Mid-Nite.
On Al' 13th birthday, the "JSA Brats" meet up at Al's Bar Mitzvah. The kids tour NASA and spend the weekend on Trevor Island.
During the summer before Infinity, Inc. #1, Lyta visits USC and Al begins to look for another focus besides sports.
