OVERVIEW
Natasha Irons is the niece of Steel (John Henry Irons) and a hero in her own right. She received super powers from the Everyman Project and was for a short while a member of Infinity, Inc. II as Starlight.
HISTORY
The niece of John Henry Irons (a.k.a. Steel III). Natasha is the daughter of John Henry's late brother Clay and used to live with her mother and extended family in Washington, DC. After a gang war in their neighborhood, Steel was forced to go public with his secret identity, which led to his family hiding through witness protection. Natasha decided to move with her uncle to Jersey, where she met a young man named Paul (whom she nicknamed "Boris"). The two became close friends.
Still later, Natasha moved with John Henry to his factory called Steelworks in Metropolis. An Advanced Studies intern, Natasha is currently aiding her uncle in his technological work (as well as helping out behind the scenes with Steel's and Superman's crimefighting from time to time).
Recently, Natasha has been seen to use a version of the Steel armor herself, and has played the part of heroine in cooperation with fellow teen heroines Girl-13, and Cir-El.
She received super powers from the Everyman Project, sponsored by Lex Luthor, and was for a short while a member of Infinity, Inc. II as Starlight.
POWERS AND WEAPONS
For a time, Natasha wore a suit or armor uc like her uncle Steel, with the same basic capabilities. The suit offered protection, superhuman strength and flight abilities. Her armor also enabled her to change size, up to 60 feet.
In her Starlight persona, she had superhuman strength, durability and the ability to fly. Her hands could emit light, and she could also create force fields of energy.
As Vaporlock, she could transform into a mist.
