HISTORY
- Alfred "Alfy" Twidgett was the British member of the World War II Boy Commandos, a team of orphaned boys who operated behind the enemy lines under the leadership of Captain Rip Carter. Although young, the boys were an important task force battling the Nazis. After the war's end, Alfy joined most of his teammates in the United States, where they began a crimefighting career. In 1947, Alfy returned to England to attend college and was replaced in the group by a young American named Tex. Alfy eventually formed SOL – Statistical Occurrences, Limited, an insurance company targeting "risks that somehow presume the involvement of so-called super-heroes and super-villains or other such para-normal forces".
- Alfy is often accompanied by his granddaughter, Twiggy, who hopes to have adventures, inspired by her grandfather.
