Altair-3 was once menaced by Brainiac as he placed a satellite in orbit over the planet which perpetually eclipsed their sun. Years later, for a time reprogrammed by Superman, Brainiac returned and destroyed his artificial moon, restoring daylight to the Altairians.-Action Comics #528
