Synopsis: - Informed by the weakened Lady of the Lake that his rashness and anger have unleashed a terrible evil on the world, Aquaman crosses the bridge known as the Heavenspan to reach the Thirst, learning on the way that his quest must fail. He pursues the Thirst to the river Elbe, but is too late to prevent the Thirst from desiccating its river guardian, the Elbe Sister, and using her to crew his ship. He and Tempest are offered help by the Justice League, the offer conveyed by Superman, but Aquaman declines, knowing that it is something he must face himself.
