HISTORY

When the biological parents of Garfield Logan died, Nicholas Galtry, the attorney for the Logan estate, became Garfield's legal guardian. Time and again, Galtry plotted to get rid of the boy and gain access to the Logan fortune himself, but was always hindered, often by the Doom Patrol. He even set the super-villain called Arsenal on Garfield. However, his actions eventually led to him losing his guardianship. Instead, Rita and Steve Dayton became Garfield's adoptive parents.

Years later, Galtry stole Arsenal's armour and usurped his identity to get revenge on Garfield as the new Arsenal, but was finally defeated by Gar himself.
