OVERVIEW
A survivor of the destruction of the Old Gods, Arzaz has lived his life incongnito, most recently as a humble monk on planet Naftali. In modern times, he met Takion and became involved in events where he had to oppose Darkseid and yet another surviving Old God, the Nameless One. Both Arzaz and the Nameless One are now imprisoned on the Source Wall.
HISTORY
Very little is known about the Old God known as the Arzaz, other than that he somehow managed to escape the destruction of the GodWorld. His whereabouts through the ages have gone unrecorded, but some point in time, Arzaz met and befriended Shazam, the sorcerer who empowers Captain Marvel and for a time resided on New Genesis.
In modern times, Arzaz had taken on the form of a monk on planet Naftali, but started acting proactively once again when he encountered Takion, the first being ever to communicate directly with the Source. During the Genesis events, Arzaz reverted to his original godform and aided Earth's heroes against Darkseid and the Nameless One, Arzaz' evil opposite number on the GodWorld. As a result of his final battle with the Nameless One, they were both imprisoned on the Source Wall.
