Synopsis: - A series of occult-themed murders have taken place in Gotham City, and Batman is approached by the demon Etrigan, who tells him that someone is trying to bring the demon Baal to Earth and must be stopped. They travel to Hell, whose denizens have a field day attacking Batman's feelings of grief and loss. He overcomes these and thwarts Etrigan's plan to gain Baal's power, also defeating Baal and so earning a demonic enemy. Back in Gotham, Batman prevents the suicide of would-be demon-summoner Alister Creel, determined that the man face justice in this life.
