Comment(s):

The flashback referred to takes place shortly after Jason Todd's debut as Robin and also after Batgirl's official retirement from the costumed life, as she comes out of retirement temporarily in this segment. The main story occurs after the Killing Joke and Death in the Family.

Synopsis:

In order to save an innocent man from execution, Batman has to free Two-Face from incarceration and accompany him to Santa Prisca, where the alleged victim is to be found, alive and well. Two-Face escapes from Batman whilst there, but the execution is prevented.
