HISTORY

Also known as, among others, Marcus Gaius and Buzz Aldrin (but not THE Buzz Aldrin). Once a good-hearted mortal in ancient Rome, Marcus sold his soul to Beelzebub to get rid of the mad emperor Caligula, who had raped Marcus' wife Valeria. However, Valeria furiously killed Marcus since he, she thought, had witnessed her humiliation and done nothing about it. After his death, Beelzebub transformed Marcus into the demon Buzz, who became a prominent power in Hell, frequently acting as Beelzebub's field agent on Earth.

Following Lucifer's abdication, Buzz left Hell and its hierarchy for Earth. In the guise of the human "Buzz Aldrin", he started a cult on behalf of the Lords of Chaos. He became the boyfriend of one Linda Danvers, whom he ultimately murdered, which in turn allowed Linda to merge with Supergirl and become an Earth-born angel. Buzz is ruthless and evil (name a sin and he's probably done it), but has shown signs of having a conscience and some feelings for humanity, and for Linda/Supergirl in particular.

Currently, he has been stripped of his demonic powers by God, and travelled for a time together with Supergirl in an unholy alliance. This journey came to an end when he betrayed her for Lilith and the Carnivore. Buzz is the father of Dominique.
