HISTORY
Crocky is a loveable green crocodile in a t-shirt bearing the phrase "I Love You". That persona and an odd catchphrase – "You Be Me. I Am You." – catapulted Crocky into kid-vid stardom. Today the program is syndicated on three hundred-plus TV stations. Crocky eventually spawned a media empire, overseen by a woman named Ellen Anders. Beyond the personal appearances, there are plush animals, beanie babies, mugs, posters, kiddie cups & bowls, puppets, light switch plates and guitars. Most ubiquitous is Crocky Crunch, a cereal that's a favorite of Dick Grayson and which is one of the sponsors of Haly's Circus.
For years, Crocky was portrayed by Dexter Crabtree. He was dumped by Paragon Pictures when he demanded a raise to appear in "Crocky the Movie". However, after Crabtree had helped Robin (III) defeat a criminal robbing Gotham-area businesses, the actor got his old job back with a big bonus.
