HISTORY

A twisted, unpleasant dwarf with the same shadow-powers, probably gained at the same moment, as the Shade. The Shade's nemesis for many years, Culp was thought killed in a confrontation between the two, but was actually somehow taken into his enemy's body. Gradually gaining power, he was able to take control of the Shade's body for brief periods of time for his own evil means, until finally, having brought about a plan which would end in the total destruction of the Shade's beloved Opal City, he separated himself from the other's body, his own person once more. At the peak of his seeming triumph, he was killed by the original Mist.
