HISTORY

Cynthia Horton was the daughter of Abigail Horton of Horton Chemicals and a former love of Oliver Queen who was a close friend of her mother's. Sometime after her relationship with Queen ended Cynthia married English businessman Gerrold Sinclair. The couple, through Sinclair, were part of a secret cartel that desired control of the world's first oil substitute. To that end Cynthia had her mother killed.

In her will, Abigail had left control of the company to Oliver Queen who sought justice for his friend. Despite attempts on his life Queen (also as Green Arrow) was able to uncover the conspiracy at Horton Chemicals. Cynthia shot her husband shortly before Green Arrow arrived to confront him. However, before she could kill the Emerald Archer the dying Sinclair fired on his wife, killing her.
