Comment(s):
- This one-shot issue is an exclusive to Target stores, in support of the Funko "DC Primal Age" 5.5" action figure line. "DC Primal Age" features "sword and sorcery" versions of DC's heroes, ostensibly as if the were designed in the 1980s along the lines of toy lines such as Masters of the Universe.
- The identifies of the Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman and Scarecrow are not given in this issue, but they are based on the mainstream versions of Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Clark Kent, Diana and Jonathan Crane, respectively. Hippolyta is not specifically named, but for indexing purposes is assumed to be the correct name until shown otherwise.
- Despite his appearance on the cover, Lex Luthor does not appear in this issue.
Solicitation:
- How do superheroes save the world in a universe without technology?
- Magic, sword fighting and mystical beasts, obviously!
- DC PRIMAL AGE—a new comic book based on the popular retro-style Funko action figure line of the same name—is now available for purchase exclusively at Target stores.
- The 100-page one-shot is rooted in the sword and sorcery genre and creates a barbarian mythos behind the Funko action figures, presenting glimpses into the reimagined backstories and superpowers of Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and other iconic DC characters.
