Synopsis:

A team of heroes retrieves the Spear of Destiny from space, where it begins to take control of Starfire, while the heroes in Purgatory agree to bring Hal Jordan to Earth, assisted in their escape by the souls of other former heroes. Meanwhile, in Hell, Faust rescues the other heroes from the Charon river, unaffected by the disturbing visions it produces because he has no soul. They are then confronted by the demon Nebiros.
When the heaven-bound heroes arrive back with Hal Jordan, things look good - for a few minutes, before Asmodel/Spectre turns Hal into glass and shatters him, also having silenced the Phantom Stranger.
