Synopsis: - Two of Gotham's crime bosses are dead, killed by two of the others, as arranged by Whisper A'Daire. Whisper herself has become close friends, perhaps more, with the mayor. Using the excuse of dropping of a tuxedo off to the mayor (as Bruce Wayne), Batman gets a closer look at Whisper, and manages to get a sample of a scaly substance on her back. When he analyzes this, he finds that it matches the data for a king cobra.
- Meanwhile, the Burnley Massive and the Triads begin work on importing an immortality serum to Gotham, and prepare to make a huge amount of money selling it on the streets. Batman is interrupted in his investigations by Abbot, who fights him as a wolf-like creature. Batman comes out the victor and discovers both the information that Whisper and Abbot have been gathering on Gotham's organized crime and a cast-off skin from Whisper. Elsewhere, Whisper offers Ekin Tzu a taste of the immortality serum, which transforms him into a bird-like creature.
