- Story takes place prior to Tarantula and Nightwing leaving Blüdhaven.
Synopsis: - Batman and Tarantula, with the surreptitious help of Orpheus, stem the fire at the sanitation plant, though Tatantula is not convinced that the fire would be an altogether bad thing. She and Batman soon discover that the mugre, the rotting disease, is real and active in the plant. They seal it in and escape through the sewers, where they encounter Kafka, who can sense some tasty food. As they research the scientific and mythic basis of the mugre, both come to the same conclusion - that cockroaches can stop it. They engineer a confrontation between Kafka and the mugre, and the mugre is destroyed. Batman creates an antidote for those who have come in contact with the disease, and tells Tarantula to leave his town.

Synopsis: - At Batman's request, Green Arrow travels to the Ashram, where he encounters Onyx. She has been spending some time there to come to terms with her shady past, and Green Arrow has a proposition for her which he thinks she'll enjoy. Before long she arrives in Gotham, pretending to be back on the wrong side of the law, and taking up a position as Orpheus' bodyguard, helping him bring the Hill under control.
