HISTORY

Formerly a 'tech guy' in the criminal world who was highly sought for his expertise with gadgets and gizmos, Rich worked with fifteen different super-villains, including Queen Bee, Two-Face, Killer Frost and Black Manta. When federal prosecutor Kate Spencer assembled evidence against him, she cut a deal with him, getting evidence on those he'd worked for in exchange for giving him a new identity – Dylan Battles – and immunity from prosecution. Years later, by which time he had married and had an infant son, Kate returned to his life, recruiting him to assist her in her operations as Manhunter. He agreed to consider it, but when he returned from this meeting, his wife left him. So with little other option, he agreed, upgrading her costume and weaponry and helping her train.
