HISTORY
During WWII, U.S. scientists invented a robot, that they thought might reduce human casualties. The Jungle Automatic Killer Experiment or J.A.K.E., was taken into combat by Sergent Coker, and proved to be an effective fighting force. It saved Coker many times, and seemed to have a mind of its own.
The original J.A.K.E. sacrificed itself to save an American fleet, but another one was quickly built. Although the project was successful, President Truman ordered the project be shut down. J.A.K.E. 2 is still used on military missions to this day, and will survive 1,000 years, where it will encounter the Legion of Super-Heroes.
