GREEN LANTERN by STONE ARCH BOOKS

In 2013, Stone Arch Books, an imprint of Capstone Publishing, released a line of Green Lantern chapter books aimed at young readers. Written by a variety of authors with illustrations by Dan Schoening, each 56 page 5.25″ by 7.5″ book featured Hal Jordan with heroes and villains from the Green Lantern mythos.

These stories are set in their own continuity with each being a self-contained adventure. Guardian of Earth presents Hal's origin as Green Lantern, followed by The Last Super Hero where he begins his training.

The super hero stops the first wave of mechanical killers, but hundreds more quickly follow. Soon, HAL is overwhelmed, unable to hold off the assault any longer. Then suddenly, two members of the BLUE LANTERN CORPS restore his energy. HAL is thankful for the help, but it comes with a price. They want HAL to give up his GREEN RING and join the BLUE LANTERNS . . . or suffer the consequences.

EVIL STAR and his army are on the loose! Luckily, HAL JORDAN, the GREEN LANTERN of Sector 2814, is hot on their trail. The super hero tracks the villains to a far corner of space, a remote moon-town named Porta Cuoli. As HAL prepares to attack, a second GREEN LANTERN shows up . . . Fentara Rrab, from Sector 2815. At first, HAL is grateful for the help, but Fentara Rrab doesn't share the feeling. He's a veteran member of the GREEN LANTERN CORPS and immediately takes charge. If the two can't cooperate, this super hero duo will become a dynamic disaster.

Notes: The story differs from the solicitation in that the moon-town Porta Cuoli is a planet, Porto Collis and Arisia Rrab is the Green Lantern, not Fentara Rrab.
