HISTORY

In late 2973, the Durlan Green Lantern was one of three Green Lanterns dispatched by the Guardians of the Universe to prevent the Legion of Super-Heroes from learning the origins of the universe.

Alongside Green Lanterns Vidar and Galte-Re, the Durlan ring wielder fought the Legionnaires and managed to convince them of the damage it would cause if they continued in their research. Unfortunately, one of their number, Green Lantern Vidar, wished to discover what the Guardians had been hiding. He was defeated by the Legion and later stripped of his power ring by the Guardians. The United Planets ruled that no Green Lanterns would ever be allowed on Earth.

This Green Lantern was succeeded by a male Durlan Green Lantern. The fate of the female Durlan Green Lantern is not known as of this writing.
