HISTORY

The Green Lanterns of Sector 2429 were among of approximately fifty Lanterns ingested by the Gigorr, a monstrous spiderlike foe of the Green Lantern Corps. The Lanterns were slowly digested while the Gigorr fed on the energy of their power rings. It was not until the beast was killed by Lantern Guy Gardner that the Sector 2429 Lanterns' power ring could seek replacements for the Corps.

The fallen Lanterns will be memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa.
