HISTORY

The planet Greykil suffered severe ecological damage due to its inhabitants, the Greykilians. Despite their efforts to repair the ecosystem, evacuation from their homeworld became inevitable. Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Kilowog, along with Blue Lantern Saint Walker, Red Lantern Razer, and Guardian Ganthet, transported the Greykilians to Mogo, a sentient Green Lantern planet.

However, Greykil itself had inexplicably developed sentience and became intensely enraged by the removal of "his" people. His immense anger attracted a power ring, transforming him into a Red Lantern. Empowered with this new ability, Greykil gained the capacity to travel across the stars, relentlessly homing in on Razer's Red Lantern energy.

Catching up to the Green Lanterns, notably Mogo, Greykil lashed out, demanding the return of the Greykilians. Greykil felt it was a sacred right to protect its people. Meanwhile, Doctor Reycahrr, a Greykilian, felt such profound love for her homeworld that she earned a Star Sapphire ring. The Greykilians had been unaware of the extent of the harm they had inflicted upon Greykil.

Together with the Green Lanterns, Ganthet, Razer, and Star Sapphire Carol Ferris, they were able to free Greykil from the influence of the red ring. The Greykilians then returned to begin the restoration of their homeworld.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As a Red Lantern, Greykil wielded a red power ring granting the ability to alter his mass and gravity as well as fire destructive energy blasts.
