HISTORY
Exiled from Earth by the Guardians of the Universe for a period of one year, Green Lantern Hal Jordan found his first base off Earth, a drifting asteroid, destroyed by Hector Hammond. Realizing the danger of living in deep space without a life support system should his power ring fail, Jordan set out for the planet Talkor, "home of the finest shipwrecks in the galaxy." As Abin Sur had before him, Jordan would obtain a starship to use during his travels.
After saving a cargo ship from a space beast, Green Lantern followed the craft to the third moon of Talkor where he met Doctor T'Gura, a researcher in "chronokinesis," or time travel. It was Green Lanterns actions that saved Talkor from the disastrous consequences of T'Gura's creation of a time warp. To show gratitude, the High Counselor of Talkor ordered the Green Lantern would be given Talkor's finest minicruiser, tailored to his specifications. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #158
The starcruiser was composed of three decks, with a bridge on the main deck. Although the complete layout of the starcruiser is not available, it is known Jordan kept a galley with food dispensers, a bedroom and a separate room marked by the insignia of the Green Lantern Corps which contained his power battery. There were at least two airlocks, fore and aft, and each section of the starcruiser could be sealed off by airtight hatches. Though the starcruiser was capable of generating its own warp fields, four stern thrusters could also provide forward momentum. Propulsion was available for vertical take off and landing by the activation of one large thruster underside the bow and two smaller thrusters under the stern. Retractable landing gear made it possible to set down on a planetary surface. The Corps insignia adorned the sides as well as the thruster under the bow. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #159 , Green Lantern Vol. 2 #162 - 163
After a battle with Evil Star, Jordan landed on the planet Aoran and was soon embroiled in a bid by the Headmen of Garon to join the intergalactic Citadel. After Jordan and the Omega Men rescued Dorine Clay and her people, known as the Freeminds, from the Headmen, Jordan planned to depart Aoran, leaving the world to be rebuilt by the Freeminds. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #159 - 162
A tour of his starcruiser turned deadly when a supposed rebellion of the ship's computer took the life of Ph'rax, a young boy. The ship's computer planned to kill Jordan and Clay as well. It kept Green Lantern from his power battery, knowing Jordan's power ring had used its twenty-four hour charge. Finally, Jordan and Clay were sucked out of an airlock as Ph'rax had been. Green Lantern was quick enough to recharge his power ring and save themselves from the same fate as Ph'rax. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #162 - 163
The villain behind the computer malfunction was revealed to be Myrwhydden. The evil mage was defeated by Green Lantern to face the Guardians' justice. There was no permanent damage to the starcruiser. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #164
Green Lantern used the starcruiser to transport him and Clay to missions assigned by the Guardians. The last such mission was to a dying world believed to be stricken with a disease known as "the Somnolence." - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #171
Jordan's exile from Earth was ended shortly thereafter and he returned to his homeworld. The state of his starcruiser is unknown, but likely it has been given over to Dorine Clay and the Freeminds. It has not been seen since. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #172
