HISTORY

Hope was an artificial being, created by LexCorp scientists such as Dr. Sergei Federov under the direction of Lex Luthor. Appearing human, she was given a fictitious back story and promoted as a new hero for Metropolis. She became quite popular with the media and the public. Luthor himself began an affiar with his creation.

Hope was in the midst of capturing Toyman after he had blown up a daycare center (which secretly had been orchestrated by Lex Luthor himself) when Luthor remotely controlled her to drop the criminal. Toyman was saved from death by Superman, who only saw Hope as a mechanical being and a threat. The two fought, and Hope was ultimately detonated by Luthor.

Her full capabilities may never be known; Hope displayed the powers of flight and super-strength.
