HISTORY

A cybernetic life-form from some point in the future which travelled back to the twenty-first century, Indigo was initially viewed as a threat when her self-repair mechanisms kicked in, leading her to seek out other cybernetic forms. She had an explosive encounter with the Titans and Young Justice, which led to the deaths of Omen and Troia when she interfaced with a Superman robot.

After that, her proper programming restored, she was taken under Arsenal's wing as a trainee hero and a member of the new Outsiders, where she began a romance with Shift. However, this could not last for long, as unknown to Indigo, she was also a vessel for the consciousness of the future Brainiac 8, sent back through time to kill Donna Troy (Troia) who will pose a great threat to the Coluans. At a crucial point, Brainiac 8 over-rode Indigo and attacked the Outsiders and the Teen Titans. When Indigo briefly regained control, she asked Shift to transform her into flesh and blood, as then she would die human and Brainiac 8 would be defeated.
