- A Justice League three-part tale written by Grant Morrison with art by Ed McGuinness! The Ultramarine Corps take the brunt of an assault by Gorilla Grodd's guerrilla-militia. But where's the JLA? Only Batman remains to sort out this mystery!
Synopsis: - The Ultra-Marines find themselves fighting the apes of Gorilla City, who are under the command of Grodd, who has taken over an African city. The power is then drained from the floating city of Superbia, which begins to plummet down to Earth. Several of the Ultra-Marines, including Warmaker One, are overpowered, and Neh-Buh-Loh, the former Nebula Man, takes over the body of Pulse 8. The Squire knows that they are out-matched and manages to contact Batman, who takes her to a JLA lab on Pluto. The rest of the League are missing, but he has a plan to make it look as though this is not the case.
