Synopsis: - Hal Jordan's role as the Spectre has become confused and this has allowed Roger Romaine, the Spirit King, to rise from Hell and seek vengeance. As Doctor Mid-Nite and Mister Terrific try to help Jordan, they discover that all those damned by the Spectre have risen too, and an army of corpses threatens to overrun Portsmouth. Other members of the JSA come under attack from the corpses, led by Louis Snipe (the man who cased the death of Jim Corrigan) in Mid-Nite's clinic, and the streets are soon a battleground. In a moment's respite, Reverend Richard Craemer arrives, saying he was sent by Corrigan, an the Spirit King inhabits Flash's body, just as he did when he killed the original Mister Terrific.
