HISTORY

Named after legendary Civil War general James Ewell Brown "J.E.B." Stuart, Jeb Stuart grew up to fight in his own generation's World War Two as the commander of a Stuart M3 tank. The "Haunted Tank" gained its nickname thanks to its commander, Jeb Stuart, who openly communicated with the spirit of his namesake. Though Stuart’s crew was unable to see the ghost, they humored their commander's eccentricities. Indeed, the sprit seemed to be the tank's guardian angel.

In the years following the war, Jeb went on to become a General. Following the deaths of his cousin, Sharon, and her husband, Rick Flagg, Stuart also became the guardian of their son, Richard Jr. He was also responsible for the formation of Task Force X (I), and the original Suicide Squad. In later years, In Jeb has mobilized the Suicide Squad to rescue Richard Flag Jr., and personally rode to the defense of Washington, D.C. during the supernatural "Day of Judgement" event.

Jeb, now an old man, is still alive. Recently, he hovered between life and death and became a spirit guide to his granddaughter, Lieutenant Jennifer Stuart, who steered a modern-day equivalent of the Haunted Tank, the Cyber-Command Assault Vehicle, while helping out the Power Company in the world of Ashalanti. Jeb Stuart recovered later, now aware of what his fate will be after death.
