HISTORY

An assistant at Concordance Research, Kristopher Kross had access to projects being worked on the U.S. Department of Defense. Ultimately, he stole computer components and a plutonium based power pack and with an accomplice tried to escape via fighter jet to foreign soils. Their flight was abruptly stopped by Superman as he destroyed their jet. The two sought to parachute to freedom, but were blown towards an awaiting U.S. aircraft carrier.

A sudden lightning storm stuck, and Kross was hit by an electrical bolt. The materials he still carried exploded. Kross would soon develop super powers, enabling him to tap into any electronics and take control. He was soon able to acces satellites in orbit before the combined efforts of Firestorm and Superman defeated the villain. -DC Comics Presents #45
