OVERVIEW
For some reason, whenever the Liberty Bell was rung in Philadelphia, Libby Lawrence gained a rush of adrenalin, giving her enhanced strength and reflexes. As a heroine, she became the leader of the All-Star Squadron in wartime America, later gaining the ability to emit sound waves from her body. After the war she married fellow hero Johnny Quick and bore a child, who would become the heroine Jesse Quick, before their divorce.
HISTORY
The descendant of Revolutionary War heroine Bess Lynn (who had her own secret identity as Miss Liberty), young Libby Lawrence was a gifted student and athlete, competing in college against seniors in both swimming and track as a freshman
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Originally, Liberty Belle had no recognizable paranormal abilities, but it was later revealed that her stamina and strength were greater than a normal woman, due to a "mystical connection" with the Liberty Bell, which when rang, gave her heightened adrenaline-rush abilities for a short time.
In March of 1942, due to the exposure of special sonic blasts aimed at the bell, Libby became endowed with sonic abilities that enabled her to project sonic blasts from her hands. These blast were similar to concussive force and could damage stone walls.
Libby is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, and a natural leader with great charisma.
